|CRYSTAL PHARMATECH HOSTS SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY SYMPOSIUM|
Preclinical Development Thru the Eyes of Experts
(South San Francisco, CA) March 9th, 2017– Crystal Pharmatech, a leader in drug solid-state research and CMC services, hosted their annual scientific advisory board (SAB) meeting and symposium at the Hilton Doubletree in South San Francisco. The morning meeting with Crystal Pharmatech executive team members and SAB could boast >250 years combined industrial experience in pharmaceutical development. On the agenda was how Crystal Pharmatech can continue to be the solid-state research leader in the industry while expanding their CMC service offerings. “The expansion is organic and geared towards the needs of our client base” explained Robert Wenslow, VP of Business Development at Crystal Pharmatech. “The SAB confirmed our belief that there continues to be major gaps in the CRO industry for true Process Research and Formulation Development”. With experience and guidance from our distinguished SAB, we can guarantee quality services in these CMC areas as a natural expansion of our business”.
The afternoon featured an engaged symposium in front of a packed auditorium with over 60 researchers in attendance. The topics provided the audience with key preclinical development information including “How to best formulate early development compounds”, “Facts and fictions of Polymorphism”, “How to not be wrong about CoCrystals” and “Managing API development in early phase programs”. Head of Product Development at a San Francisco biotech noted “This was one of the best seminars I attended in the last few years. People were clearly engaged, nobody rushed out before the end of the afternoon, most of them stayed and wanted to talk to the experts. Clearly there is a great deal of interest and a need to address solid state issues in this part of the country.”
The SAB has been in existence since Crystal Pharmatech’s inception in 2010. They have been seminal in Crystal Pharmatech growth and sustainability. As the company grows, we will continue to rely on the vast and diverse experience set of the SAB to help ensure our CMC service quality continues to lead the industry.
