Roles and Responsibilities
Lab Management:
Create inventory database for chemicals, gasses and HPLC columns
Arrange chemicals in the chemical storage cabinets
Monitor and replenish the chemical and gas inventory
Order consumables and/or lab equipment in the internal purchasing system
Schedule lab waste pick up
Set up and monitor annual calibration and maintenance service timelines and notify scientists to arrange service scheduling or renewal
Responsible for sample receipt, internal transfer and sample shipment
IT /EHS/Logistics:
Coordinate with IT contractor to report and track lab or office computers issues.
Assist in promoting safe working practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, NJ and local regulations.
Provide support to the lab directors in designing, implementing and reviewing the safety policies and programs.
Coordinate with the landlord or contractors to report and track the facility related issues and ensure the issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Aossociate or B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biology preferred, with intention to acquire experiences in lab / project management and administrative areas
Lab experience and knowledge of general safety practices in a chemical laboratory preferred
Strong motivation and interest in working at a laboratory environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Open-minded to adapt to changes and to learn new skill sets in a growing organization
